1. Company Information

This website, https://yourfriendinsal.com/, is operated by Salitour Sociedade Unipessoal LDA, trading under the brand name “Your Friend in Sal – Carlos Cruz Tours”, a licensed travel agency based on Sal Island, Cabo Verde. The Agency operates in accordance with the applicable legislation governing tourism activities, consumer protection, and commercial operations in the Republic of Cabo Verde.

 

2. Scope of Services

The Agency designs, organizes, and delivers tourism-related services, including guided tours, private and group experiences, ocean and land-based activities, tailor-made travel services, multi-activity packages, and concierge assistance. The Agency may also coordinate and sell services provided by third-party tourism providers, acting either as organizer or as intermediary.

 

3. Booking and Contract Formation

A booking shall be considered confirmed when a deposit is paid or when written confirmation is exchanged via email or WhatsApp. By confirming a booking, the client accepts these Terms and Conditions.

 

4. Prices, Currency and Payment

All prices are in Euros (EUR) unless stated otherwise. Payments may be made in EUR or CVE (1 EUR = 110 CVE). Payment methods include debit/credit cards, Google Pay, bank transfer, Wise, Revolut, PayPal, and cash. Additional costs such as entrance fees or optional services may apply.

 

5. Nature of Services and Responsibility

The Agency may act as organizer or intermediary. For third-party services, responsibility lies with the provider.

 

6. Payment, Deposits and Refunds

A deposit of 20–30% may be required. Balance is due before or on the day of the activity. Private tours may require up to 70% in advance. No refunds for no-shows or unused services.

 

7. Cancellation Policy

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before. Less than 24 hours or no-show: 100% fee. Non-recoverable costs may apply.

 

8. Guaranteed Departure and Minimum Participants

Some tours require minimum participants. Alternatives or refunds will be offered if not met.

 

9. Itinerary, Meeting Points and Schedules

Itineraries may change due to weather or operational reasons. Clients must be on time; failure may result in loss of service.

 

10. Safety and Participation

Clients must follow safety instructions. Participation is at own risk.

 

11. Insurance

The Agency holds mandatory liability insurance. Clients should have personal insurance.

 

12. Assistance to Travellers

Assistance will be provided where possible. Costs may apply if caused by client negligence.

 

13. Claims and Complaints

Must be reported within 5 working days via email or WhatsApp.

 

14. Image Rights

Photos/videos may be used for marketing unless client opts out.

 

15. Limitation of Liability

The Agency is not liable for external disruptions or third-party actions.

 

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Cabo Verde law.
